Find Objects in the Night Sky with a Planisphere

While a number of great planetarium applications are available for your phone, tablet, or computer, and are a better option for finding dim objects in the night sky, a simple Planisphere is a great option when you are trying to find bright, easy to see objects in the night sky from a suburban backyard with a pair of binoculars or a small telescope. Plus they are just fun to use.

Watch the video below to see how you can use a Planisphere to help you find objects in the night sky.

Thanks. I found mine and dusted it off. You might want to review how to hold the planisphere. Also, even without a night sky, the planisphere can educate you about how the constellations progress with the seasons.

Yes, those are very good points. I had meant to include a bit about how to hold it but then forgot to add that in the end. I had recorded the video a few months ago and am slowly working through my backlog of video projects on this and my other channel.
